Cachuma Lake and Jalama Beach are currently open to overnight camping, with the exception of group camping areas.   Day Use Parks are open, however group picnic sites remain closed to reservations.
Are you allowing walk-in or first come, first served camping?
In order to minimize the contact with gate staff, we are NOT allowing walk-in camping at this time.
Why are there sites out of service at Jalama Beach?
Sites that are normally walk-ins are now reservable for the time being in order to minimize contact with staff.  We are therefore opening these sites incrementally, through Labor Day, in order to assess the impact on the park.
Group Picnic Area Reservations Remain Closed.
Cachuma Lake and Jalama Beach are open to overnight camping.
Because the situation with the Coronavirus Pandemic remains fluid, we have made some modifications to our rules for the health and safety of all.

Walk-ins will not be allowed.
Changing campsites at the park will not be permitted.
Maintain social distancing of 6 feet with others outside of your household.
Face covering is required when at the Ranger Gate/Office, when in line for the restrooms and other business establishments, or when around others outside of your household.
Rules are subject to additional modifications depending on how activities affect the park, patrons and staff.
